The year in review
In spite of difficult economic times, The Computer Bird has had a busy year – our thanks to all our clients for your support. We also introduced our new look web site and opened a branch office in George, Western Cape.
Even in these difficult economic times, what is evident is that companies which streamline their operations, introduce efficient processes and use technology to best effect, are those that remain competitive – and in business.
TransLution’s Production Management suite of modules offers a number of useful add-ons, being fully integrated with SYSPRO and using SYSPRO‘s business objects for all SYSPRO communication.
About Production Manager
The various modules which make up Production Manager can be implemented either in a standalone fashion or used together as a complete product suite. A brief description of each module follows.
Stock Manager
Stock Manager allows users to define multiple demand and supply sources in order to monitor and manage future stock levels. It is not intended to replace an MRP system, it is rather intended to be used on an ongoing basis to alert users early on to supply problems. It does this by recalculating all demands daily and configuring it to look as far into the future as required.
Job Manager
This application gives users a single window to monitor the progress of all their active jobs in one place. Being able to view sub jobs and master jobs and the links between them allows for a graphic illustration of where problems lie, for example, component picking not started on time, insufficient stock on hand and such like.
Job manager also allows various users to capture comments against jobs that will then be visible to other users as they are tracking the job progress. This allows all users to easily identify where problems lie and to ensure that the right actions are taken to address these problems.
Job Planning
Job Planning is a tool to plan and schedule jobs in spreadsheet format and then submit this data to MS Project for detailed scheduling and resource levelling.
The software allows users to quickly and easily define a project with a high level plan of the project tasks that will be required.
